About
Senior software engineer focused on architecture, modernization, and systems that remain operable after launch.
I’m Corey Crooks. This site is an Architecture Review Library—a public record of how I evaluate products, reason about UX, and recommend systems that can be operated in production.
The intended reader is an engineering manager, staff/principal engineer, architect, CTO, or technical recruiter who wants evidence of judgment—not just implementation volume.
Principles
- Never invent facts. If it wasn’t observed on a public surface or provided as an owned redesign artifact, it’s labeled as an assumption or inference.
- Justify every technology. No trendy stacks without a problem they solve.
- Prefer the simplest architecture that fits. Modular monoliths often beat premature microservices for local businesses and early platforms.
- Respect migration reality. Rollbacks, risk, and phased delivery are part of the design.
- Protect IP. No proprietary source code and no copyrighted third-party assets are published here.
